Loving God. Caring about you.

Recover in Christ
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:18-19

The Spiritual Problem
Some problems in life cause deep inner feelings of "dis-ease" or restlessness. There are only two places where ease and comfort can be found: in the world or in the presence of God. Worldly solutions, such as dependence on chemicals (like alcohol) or compulsive behaviors (like gambling) promise relief but instead produce confusion and unmanageable problems.
“For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do.”
Romans 7:15
Physical and psychological dependencies are powerful forces that first take control of the mind, then the body, and ultimately the soul of those who succumb to them. They are some of the strongest weapons in Satan’s arsenal.
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” 1 Peter 5:8
Spiritual problems require spiritual solutions, and apart from God there is no lasting reprieve from guilt, shame, and fear. The recognition of powerlessness and unmanageability is the first step to recovery and provides the foundation for a profound spiritual awakening.

There is Hope in Jesus
Accepting that we need help is a good place to be. Coming to trust that Jesus loves us and possesses the power to heal us is another important step toward recovery.
"Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me…. For when I am weak, then I am strong." 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
Jesus is especially interested in helping the weak and helpless. He invites everyone—including the powerless—to a new start. No matter our past, there is hope for our future when we surrender our life to Christ.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
Matthew 11:28
Amazingly, Jesus works to heal hurting people through other wounded people. As a body of Christians, it is our privilege to share the compassion and mercy of Jesus with others.
We invite you to join us. You may feel isolated and alone, but you don’t have to be. We would be honored to walk the path of recovery with you.
"You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:39
